Voltai Launches Two-Wheel EV Ecosystem

Introduces the first large-scale electric two-wheel battery swap ecosystem in the Philippines

The future of electric mobility in the Philippines is getting a powerful new player. Voltai, a startup under 1882 Energy Ventures of Aboitiz Power Corporation, has launched what is now the first large-scale electric two-wheel battery-swap ecosystem in the country — a system built to help logistics, delivery, and ride-hailing fleets make the jump to electric power without the usual limitations of charging downtime and high upfront costs.

Unveiled during a pilot preview event, Voltai introduced its inaugural two-wheel electric vehicle, the AP01, alongside a working battery swapping station and its companion mobile app. Industry leaders from logistics, food and beverage delivery, and ride-hailing sectors were given a hands-on demonstration of how a battery swapping ecosystem can transform day-to-day fleet operations.
