India's power play: Local tech, global ambitions

At the FITAG Tech Expo, Arrow Powertech quietly revealed a story that's been building for years, a story of ambition rooted in local strength and global vision. While other players chase volume and buzzwords, this company is choosing precision, partnerships, and deep technology integration. The conversation with Dhavan Desai, CEO, and Yadvinder Singh Uppal, VP, Marketing & Corporate Communications, examined the layers behind Arrow Powertech's journey from a manufacturer to a solution-centric tech partner. Here's how a company with a focus on Make in India is rethinking power solutions for IT, SMEs, and data-heavy enterprises alike.

Starting small, thinking big

The company's foundation lies in a clear manufacturing-first mindset. For over 20 years, they've been developing uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems ranging from 600 VA to 200 kVA. But the interesting part? Over 90% of the components that go into these UPS systems are made in-house. That's not just backward integration. It's control. Control over quality, costs, supply chain disruptions, and most importantly, innovation cycles. This approach is rare in a market where many players rely heavily on imported components or, worse, off-the-shelf OEMs. Arrow Powertech's core differentiator is building what they sell. This foundation gives them a long-term edge, especially when supply chains tighten and costs fluctuate.
