Stormers too good for gallant Scarlets

A NEAR fullstrength Stormers proved too much for gallant Scarlets as the Welsh region were dealt a huge blow in their quest for a play-off spot.

Stormers were deserved winners by possessing a greater attacking threat than Scarlets who were left chasing shadows when the likes of Leolin Zas and Warrick Gelant reached top gear.

The defeat was rough justice on the industrious home pack, in which Alex Craig and Taine Plumtree excelled, who matched the South African heavyweight but behind the scrum it was a different story as the men in red lacked any potency.
