I'm still a crazy little man on the pitch, says Sheedy

CALLUM Sheedy has revealed how being his own biggest critic drives him on amid the quest for perfection. Cardiff's Welsh international flyhalf is now more than a decade into his career, but admits he is still "a crazy little man" out on the field.

As a professional rugby player, you will always strive for more," says the 29-year-old. "I think it's important you have that mindset. You should never settle for what you are.

"I am my own biggest critic. So, if I do ten things good and one thing bad, I will always look at the bad thing. At the same time, it's important not to be too harsh on yourself. When I was younger, I was a bit too harsh on myself and you just beat yourself up.

"It's important to get the balance right. As I get older, maybe I am getting that balance a bit better, so I keep working on that.

"I am a bit more chilled off the pitch. But, on the pitch, I still have that angry streak in me, that little crazy man out there.
