Curry urges Martin to avoid the phone

Tom Curry has told sidelined George Martin to stay off his phone as the Leicester lock bids to return to fitness and rescue his summer.

Martin had the end of his Six Nations wrecked by shoulder and knee injuries but is still a contender for the British & Irish Lions tour to Australia.

Flanker Curry knows all about rehab after returning from potentially career-ending hip surgery to reemerge in the form that made him a Lion in South Africa.

Curry worked intensely with Bob Stewart, a rehab specialist at the RFU, to get back to full fitness but got sidetracked by apps on his mobile.

And he has told Martin, still just 23, to keep his eyes off his phone and listen to his body as he continues his recovery ahead of Lions's boss Andy Farrell's squad announcement in early May.
