PATIENCE IS KEY TO SUCCESS FOR MIKE

NEW Redditch United manager Mike Fowler has urged supporters to be patient as he builds a side capable of challenging for promotion.

The former Welsh youth international was boss at Midland Football League side Studley for two seasons and has also been assistant manager at Tamworth and Forest Green Rovers.

His role with the Reds will be full-time with him overseeing the club’s academy as well as taking care of the first team as they look to bounce back from a disappointing campaign that saw them finish just outside the Southern League Premier Central relegation places.

“My remit is to build a team that can compete which hopefully transfers into the league table and cup runs,” he told The NLP.

“The type of player I go after is someone with a high ceiling, someone I can push and develop so that over the next two or three seasons they can get the side promoted and because they have that high ceiling they have room to grow into a step two player and even further.
