DARTFORD their D place in the play-off places as a 79th-minute goal from Callum Jones gave Adrian Pennock's side all three points.
Jones was in the right place to put the ball in after substitute Michael Olarewaju had nodded the ball back across goal after a Samir Carruthers free-kick.
It made it a happy return for Dartford's assistant Roland Edge who had been relieved of his duties as head coach at Invicta alongside Micheal Everitt in November 2023 after having also served as a player, coach and assistant at Folkestone.
"It is always tough for a team to come to Folkestone and we knew what we were up against coming into the Christmas programme," said Edge.
