BUILDING A STRONGER COMMUNITY

TWENTY clubs across Steps 3 and 4 of the Non-League pyramid have become the latest beneficiaries of grants from the Trident Community Foundation, which has now awarded more than £500,000 to support projects across the country since its inception in 2020.

Ten clubs in the Pitching In Southern League, seven in the Pitching In Isthmian League and three in the Pitching In Northern Premier League have been successful with their applications in the latest round of TCF grants, the first to be awarded in the 2024/25 campaign.

As a result, projects aimed at improving provision for women’s and girls’ football, disability football and walking football are set to be established or expanded, with several initiatives set to take shape in deprived areas with a specific focus on helping youngsters.

Among the clubs focusing on the latter are Macclesfield FC, who are set to use their grant to expand the outreach of ‘Street Blues’, a bespoke sporting and physical education programme designed to support disadvantaged youngsters in the community.
