Vale safe but Crosby hands out a warning

PORT Vale were able to celebrate retaining their League One status for next season despite defeat at Charlton Athletic.
But Andy Crosby has warned his players they face heading out the door this summer if they cannot cut out defensive mistakes.
Crosby, in interim charge since Darrell Clarke was sacked on April 17, could not help but be critical of the ease with which their opponents beat keeper Aidan Stone.
“That was the remit, taking over before the Ipswich game, making sure we secured League One football,” said Crosby. “Credit to everyone concerned that we’ve done that.
“But I’m really disappointed with the first half in a number of ways.
