Taking in a game at every Premier League and EFL ground is a Herculean task - let alone doing it in one season

Daniel Storey's remarkable efforts across the 2024-25 campaign made him a fully-fledged member of the 92 Club in what must surely be record time. The self-proclaimed “stadium nerd” and football writer undertook the iconic challenge for The i Paper, covering 17,686 miles and finishing at the City Ground, home to his beloved Nottingham Forest, for the final-day Premier League defeat to Chelsea.

“It felt like a real homecoming,” he tells FFT. “Forest gave me a special reception, with a shirt that had 92 on the back and an invitation pitchside to receive it in front of the fans. The result aside, it was an amazing day at the end of an unforgettable 10 months.”

Storey subsequently released a list ranking all 92 grounds, with Grimsby’s Blundell Park a surprise winner. “There's something to be said for going to a new place and being totally, unexpectedly, blown away by it,” says Storey. “I parked near the beach and enjoyed a lovely walk to the stadium along the seafront.
