As the number of extreme events keeps increasing, chances of compound extreme events also grows
THE QUESTIONS of the advancement of climate change forecasts are tricky. We are also not good enough to say that a particular year's warming results in another year's extremes. So I am not comfortable to say that in 2023 and 2024 there was unprecedented warming and because of which we have seen a lot of extremes in these two years. Though I would say warming does result in extreme precipitation which is quite well known.
