The Z 8 has been referred to as a ‘baby Z 9’ and if you’ve read our review on page 90, you’ll know that the mirrorless behemoths share a wealth of identical specs. But perhaps the Z 8’s most interesting hand-me-down is its electronicshutter-only design. And while this was a huge innovation for the Z 9, its presence on the Z 8 might just be a bigger deal. Could Nikon be ditching the mechanical shutter for good?
