John Waters, the winner of the Animal Behaviour category at the BWPA 2025

Since 2009, the British Wildlife Photography Awards has been showcasing the best nature photos captured in Britain, raising awareness of the biodiversity and the varied species and habitats on these islands. The 2025 edition of the competition featured 10 categories that were open to adults and three for young wildlife photographers aged under 11 and up to 17. The winners were revealed earlier this year and John Waters topped the Animal Behaviour category for his photo titled 'Butterfly Face-off'.
