TOP MIRRORLESS CAMERAS OF 2024
January 2025
|Asian Photography
Mirrorless cameras have continued to evolve in 2024, bridging more flagship level features of the yesteryears to the midrange segment. From Sony's a9 III bringing the world's first global shutter into a mirrorless camera to Nikon's Z6 III bringing internal RAW video recording to the mainstream, this year has made camera manufacturers push the boundaries of technology even more. In this round up, we list the cameras that have outperformed their predecessors and/or have brought something new to the table, something only they can do.
CANON
EOS R5 II
A highly anticipated successor to the powerhouse hybrid camera from Canon four years ago, the R5 II has improvements built-in across the board. This version houses a 45MP BSI stacked sensor, a new DIGIC X processor and a DIGIC accelerator chip. This improves on autofocus tracking performance, increasing the burst rate to 30 fps, while also decreasing the rolling shutter by ~40%. Alongside that, it introduces pre-shooting modes, capturing moments just before the shutter is pressed, and features in-camera image upscaling to 179 MP. Video capabilities are enhanced with 8K 60p RAW Light recording and support for Canon Log 2/3. Additional upgrades include a brighter electronic viewfinder, longer battery life, a multifunction shoe, and a full-size HDMI port. Additional vents in the body help dissipate heat, and the camera is expected to record unlimited video when paired with their external fan accessory.
LEICA SL3
The SL3 is Leica's state-of-the-art full-frame mirrorless camera that features a high-resolution 60.3 MP sensor. The camera's full-metal housing ensures durability and weather resistance, making it suitable for all shooting conditions. The SL3 is equipped with a versatile lens mount, supporting Leica's renowned lenses, and offers CFexpress Type B and SD UHS-II card slots and connectivity options including USB-C, HDMI, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.هذه القصة من طبعة January 2025 من Asian Photography.

The Rise of Street Couture Photography
Street couture photography has taken over fashion culture in a way few trends have before. It blends high fashion with real world grit, turning sidewalks into runways and everyday people into style subjects. This shift did not happen overnight. It grew from a mix of social media influence, shifting brand priorities, and a global appetite for authenticity. What used to be a niche style is now a major force shaping how fashion is captured, consumed, and imagined.
