Photo printers play a crucial role in photography, directly impacting the quality of the final output image. While home printing has moved towards compact products, for a photographer the importance of a printer is second to none, much like cameras and lenses. Our printer shootouts have always been very famous, not only because they are one of a kind, but also because they focus on key parameters that circle around the output as well as price. This month we are reviewing two photo printers from Epson and Canon, both of which have been in this industry for a long time. Get ready for an exciting battle of the photo printers this month!

Parameters

As technology keeps advancing, we need to update our testing methods too. Though we improve and innovate, the main idea behind the tests remains the same. We have evaluated the two printers based on these factors:

1. Colour printing on A4 paper
2. Black and white printing on A4 paper
3. Colour printing on A4 paper for skin tone
4. Colour printing on 5” X 7” paper
5. Colour printing on 4” X 6” paper
