Vinesh Phogat from Olympics
Wrestler Vinesh Phogat once again made headlines this year by beating the world champion in the semi finals of the Paris Olympics and moving to the finals. This image and the sequence that followed encapsulates the collective pride we felt for her, which would morph into sorrow mere days later when we came to know of her disqualification and her subsequent retirement.

Israeli munitions hitting Lebanon On October 1st 2024, Israel launched airstrikes targeting Hezbollah’s highranking commanders, neutralising them and eliminating a large part of their combat potential. Israel announced the start of a ground operation against Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon and entered the country for the first time since 2006.
