Vehicles seized in crackdown on uninsured drivers

Nearly 60 vehicles have been seized over the last two months in an operation targeting uninsured drivers on roads in West Yorkshire.

A total of 228 vehicles were stopped during Operation Scalis with 58 - a quarter of all vehicles - being taken off the roads. West Yorkshire Police said targets included a driver delivering parcels without insurance and a car spotted being driven "suspiciously" and evading officers in Wakefield.
