Golden oldie Movano keeps on delivering the goods, says Alan Anderson

Vauxhall's LCV is still moving with the times

While van sales suffered a slump of late, the large LCV market got off more lightly than other sectors with a drop of 10% up to June 2025.

One of the reasons is the growing space efficiency and versatility of the largest vans, where some exceed five tonnes in the case of the Mercedes Sprinter (6.5t for the Iveco Daily), making a small lorry redundant.

If your driving licence has a C1 entitlement it means you can drive over 3.5kg (4250kg in the case of electric vans to take into account the weight of the batteries).
