A thug attacked his partner on the stairs, leaving her with a broken leg, and later threatened to burn down her house and slit her throat.

Stuart Gray also punched the woman to the face during another violent episode, Leeds Crown Court heard.
The 49-year-old admitted GBH without intent, ABH, and making threats to kill.
The court heard the pair had been in a relationship since 2021, but his heavy drinking took its toll.
Prosecutor Nathan Davis said he was also jealous and possessive. In December 2022 he turned violent during an argument, accusing her of cheating.
