Run for the Hills – Getaway Girls plan 'hub from home' in Harehills

A non-profit group is preparing to create a new base in Harehills to help support young women in the area.
In collaboration with design studio LOVE and social enterprise Places for People, Getaway Girls plan to create a new hub in Roundhay Road - called the Hills - to operate as an open and inclusive space for local girls and young women aged between eight and 25.
Founded in Meanwood in 1987 with a mission to help young women live healthy, safe and fulfilled lives, Getaway Girls has supported more than 20,000 girls and young women through creative workshops, mentorships and one to one support.
