McGrath hoping to build more special memories at happy hunting ground

Head coach Anthony McGrath will be hoping to build many more special memories at Scarborough as Yorkshire play host to Division One Championship leaders Surrey today and welcome Sussex next week.

McGrath enjoyed many a memorable day at the North Yorkshire venue in his playing days and can't wait for his first taste of coaching at what is a favourite ground.

"I loved playing there," said McGrath. "We won the Championship there in 2001, for the first time in so long.

"That definitely sticks as a memory. I still remember it vividly to this day. I think every Yorkshire player loves going and playing there.

"I've not been back there for a Championship game for a long time, so I'm really looking forward to the next two weeks. Hopefully the weather's good, the crowds will be good, and we have two brilliant games."
