An alternative view
England's privatised water system only guarantees one thing. An aggravated customer response. Nobody does better at undermining customer expectations in the UK than the water companies.
Margaret Thatcher pledged water privatisation would deliver higher investment. But this has never materialised. A detailed analysis by the public service union Unison, discovered from 1990 to 2023, there has been no net investment whatsoever.
