Jacob takes off on latest RAF mission

An inspirational Leeds 11-year-old has set off on a 200km cycle and wild camp across Germany as part of his latest RAF fundraising challenge.
Yesterday, Jacob Newson - who is known as Jacob the Pilot - launched his effort to raise money for the RAF's leading welfare charity the RAF Benevolent Fund.
Jacob's five-day fundraising challenge started at the Eder Dam and will finish at the Bever Dam, locations that were part of the Dambusters raid during World War II.
"I first started fundraising for the RAF Benevolent Fund in 2019 after I met the Red Arrows when I was five years old," Jacob said.
