It may be tempting to have a matching costume with your pet, but Halloween costumes for pets can spoil their fun instead of adding to it. It’s important to remember that pet Halloween costumes are for our enjoyment, and that pets would never wear them if given the choice.

Some outfits might just be a bit uncomfortable, but others can actually stop your pet from doing normal, essential things like going to the toilet, grooming, or keeping cool.

Costumes can also hide important body language signals, making it harder for other animals and people to understand them.
