Ahmedabad is ratified as host city for 2030 Games

Ahmedabad has been formally ratified as the host city for the centenary 2030 Commonwealth Games.

The Indian city had been selected ahead of a rival bid from Abuja in India for the multi-sport event in five years' time, and was given final approval at Commonwealth Sport's General Assembly in Glasgow.
Ahmedabad follows Delhi, from 2010, as the second Indian host city.
