Sandhu raises issue of religious places of Punjab associated with Lord Shri Ram including Ajj Sarovar Kharar

MP Rajya Sabha Satnam Singh Sandhu held a meeting with Union Minister for Tourism and Cultural Affairs Gajendra Shekhawat regarding the renovation and reconstruction of the holy and sacred Ajj Sarovar in Kharar, Punjab, construction of Shri Ram Temple and renovation of the temple of Mata Kushalya Devi built in village Ghuram of Patiala district.

During the meeting, Sandhu said that religious and cultural heritage is of utmost importance for the people of Punjab and the entire country. While discussing this, Sandhu also submitted a memorandum to Union Minister. Sandhu further said that the sacred land of Punjab has preserved the memories of Lord Shri Ram and his family. Among them, Shri Ram Tirtha Temple in Amritsar, the historic Mata Kushalya Devi Temple in Ghuram village of Patiala and the Ajj Sarovar in Kharar are the most revered places associated with Lord Shri Ram and his descendants in Punjab.
