Mongolians and Tibetans have had unique, close relationship: Dalai Lama
14-06-2025
|YUGMARG NEWSPAPER
Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama has written a letter to Zandanshatar Gombojav on his election as the Prime Minister of Mongolia. Congratulating him, Dalai Lama has written that I was able to visit your country for the first time in 1979, and I have fond memories of that occasion and the many visits I have made since then. I am very encouraged by the interest and enthusiasm shown by Mongolians young and old in promoting human values, as well as the need to combine traditional Buddhist knowledge with modern education. He has written that as you know, Mongolians and Tibetans have historically been like twin brothers and sisters.
Since the time of the third Dalai Lama, Sonam Gyatso, the Dalai Lamas have had a unique, close relationship with your people.
