FDDI Hosts CBSE Principals’ Exposure Visit to Promote Skill-Based Education

CHANDIGARH: An exposure visit for Principals of CBSE schools was organized in collaboration with CBSE, New Delhi. This visit brought together esteemed principals from renowned schools across Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, and Haryana.

The workshop was conducted by the FOOTWEAR DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE (FDDI) in alignment with NEP 2020 to promote skill-based education and integrated approaches in academic institutions. The objective of this visit was to provide education leaders with insights into the growth and career opportunities available in the footwear, fashion, and retail sectors. The Principals’ meet aimed to provide a platform for educators to share best practices, discuss innovative teaching methods, and address challenges in the education sector. The event featured technical sessions, visits to exhibitions, and interactive discussions.A total of 26 school principals participated in the meet. Ms. Prachi Sawhney, Deputy Commissioner, KV Chandigarh Region was the Chief Guest while Ms. Prity Singh, IBS Executive Director, FDDI, presided over the event.
