DC Preeti inspected big and small drains and sewers of Kaithal city today morning and gave necessary instructions regarding works being done for flood relief including cleaning work.

She instructed officials of Municipal Corporation Department to monitor cleaning work of drains and sewers themselves and speed up cleaning work. Issue notices to people who throw cow dung in drains and take action as per rules. She said that district administration is committed to ensure that the general public does not face any kind of problem in upcoming monsoon. For this, various areas are being visited for last four days.DC said that instructions have been given to focus especially on those places where waterlogging situation arises every year. Strict instructions have been given to officials that drains and sewers should be cleaned in any case before monsoon. Whatever machinery is to be used for this, use it. Cleaning work should be of good quality
