Bilaspur administration issues alert as NTPC Koldam prepares to release additional water from Dam

In view of anticipated rise in water levels due to rainfall and other climatic conditions, the District Disaster Management Authority Bilaspur has issued an important advisory warning residents of low-lying areas surrounding the NTPC Koldam project to remain vigilant.
Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar, who also chairs the District Disaster Management Authority, said that the NTPC Koldam, Barmana may release additional water in the coming days as a precautionary measure. This could lead to temporary flooding or waterlogging in downstream areas of the Govind Sagar Lake basin.
