CERTAIN things are guaranteed in football.

- STUART JAMES

And a former player, revered by the supporters of the club he once represented returning and scoring is definitely one of them. Just ask Tavistock. The Lambs looked set to end a long wait for a Southern League Division One South win on Wednesday night when debutant Frankie Maund gave the Lambs a first half lead in their clash with Mousehole. But seven minutes from time, former Tavi favourite Liam Prynn came off the bench to level things up and earn the Cornish side a point.

A point will not do much to help Tavistock in their quest to avoid relegation and with 13 games remaining in which to make up a monstrous 19 point gap to safety - bear in mind they have collected just 12 points all season - most are resigned to Western League football for next season. But under new boss Steve Tully, his first point since taking over is a small step in the right direction.
