Both successful artists were students at The Sculpture School in Devon. Athwenna Irons reports
A PAIR of sculptors from Devon are celebrating after being shortlisted for a highly prestigious international award.
Lucy D'Auvergne and Steve Parsons have been named as contenders for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year 2025.
As finalists, they will have their sculptures exhibited at The Mall Galleries in London this September, shining a spotlight on the skills and their passion for wildlife - they honed whilst training at The Sculpture School in Bondleigh, near North Tawton.
Founded by the celebrated wildlife artist, David Shepherd CBE, Wildlife Art of the Year is widely regarded as the world's premier wildlife art competition - effectively the 'Oscars' of wildlife art - attracting thousands of artists each year.
