Floral wave of tributes for lost loved ones

A SEA of flowers drifted quietly out to sea as families and friends gathered to remember those they have lost during North Devon Hospice’s Floating Bye tribute.

The event, held last Sunday, saw Instow Beach transformed into a place of reflection, where attendees were given a flower and a card to write a personal message to someone no longer with them. The blooms and messages were then placed on a handcrafted raft, which was towed gently out to sea by local rowers as the sun began to set.
