Exeter have high hopes for Bell after he signs new deal

ROB Baxter believes 22-year-old lock Alfie Bell has all the ingredients to become a regular starter for Exeter Chiefs in the future, which is why he has handed the towering forward a contract extension at Sandy Park.

The former Wasps Academy player was plucked from the remains of the former Gallagher Premiership side when they folded in late 2022 and has been a Chief ever since.

Born in Nuneaton, the former England Under-20 international player already stands at 6ft 8 inches tall at just 22 years of age. Rugby is in the veins for Bell, whose brother, Charlie, also represents the University of Exeter and is on the Chiefs books with his elder brother.
