AM really making an effort with the strawberries this year. In a fit of frustration at yet another poor crop last year I twice gave the bed a very generous dressing of composted manure over the winter.

And my efforts have been repaid. Generously. First we returned from holiday to find the plants positively awash with flowers and that early promise has been fulfilled with the beginnings of an exceptional crop now coming off them.
