So whereas I (and the farmer) saw thousands of pounds worth of stock, belting along the public highway towards a busy village... Mr Lycra saw an opportunity to do a good turn

Oh dear. I lost my temper yesterday and now I am feeling bad about it. It's not a nice experience, I feel physically uncomfortable in my skin and wish I could rewind time and do it all differently. It is never a good idea to shout at people. No matter how annoying they have been.

This unfortunate exhibition of irritation culminated in me calling a hapless cyclist “The T-word” and does me no credit at all. If I could take those stroppy words back, I would. But, of course, I can’t. Like I said, Oh dear.

My loss of serenity took place early in the morning yesterday, as I was driving to the gym. Yes, I am still going! Still lifting weights three or four times a week, to which I have added two or three hectic sessions on a spin bike. I never thought I'd see the day. But here I am, 18 months into my new(ish) fitness regime and enjoying it thoroughly.
