Argyle players want to finish on a high to reward Green Army

JULIO Pleguezuelo sees Plymouth Argyle's season-ending game against title-chasing Leeds United at Home Park tomorrow as a chance for the players to reward the Green Army for their support, home and away, throughout the Championship campaign.
The Pilgrims' relegation fate was sealed last Saturday, despite winning 2-1 away to Preston North End, but the players will hope to put some smiles on the fans' faces against already-promoted Leeds, who would be crowned as league champions and finish on 100 points with a victory over Argyle.
It has been a turbulent season for Argyle, which started with Wayne Rooney as their head coach but the club parted company with him on New Year's Eve and brought in Miron Muslic a couple of weeks later.
The Pilgrims enjoyed an incredible FA Cup adventure, winning away to Brentford and then beating Liverpool at Home Park before scoring first in an eventual 3-1 defeat by Man City in front of nearly 8,000 away fans at the Etihad Stadium.
However, their form in the Championship over the course of the season has been nowhere near consistent enough and despite a recent run of improved results it has not been enough to save themselves from dropping down into League One.
Pleguezuelo said: "It has been a tough one. We did have some special moments during the season, the FA Cup run for instance, but at the end of the day we didn't reach the objective that we had, which was staying in the league.
"On a personal note, it's one season to look back at, see where many things went wrong and try to put them in order this off season."
He continued: "In terms of the very highs we had this season, I think those are memories that are going to stay with us for the rest of our lives, no doubt, but obviously the lows have been really, really low. The contrast is a little bit too big to sit here and digest it just yet.
