Star gives £10k to baby's lifesaving heart-op fund

WREXHAM AFC co-owner and Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds, pictured, has donated £10,000 to help a baby get a lifesaving heart operation in the US.

Baby Ollie, a 13-month-old from Rhostyllen, Wrexham, was born with a rare and complex heart condition called pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect and major aortopulmonary collateral arteries (PA-VSD MAPCAs).

His mother, Jasmin Roberts, is raising funds to take him to Stanford Children's Hospital in California - one of the only hospitals in the world able to perform the lifesaving surgery he urgently needs.

Doctors in the UK and Europe told Jasmin that Ollie's condition was inoperable and offered only palliative care.
