Exiles boss hoping to sign off year on a positive note

NEWPORT County and Christian Fuchs aim to end a difficult year ona high by climbing off the bottom of League Two with a win against Crewe Alexandra tonight.

‘The Boxing Day draw against Barnet moved County to within three points of 23rd-placed Harrogate Town and Fuchs’ men know that a victory at Rodney Parade this evening - coupled with a defeat for the Sulphurites - at Accrington Stanley, would lift them off the foot of the table for the first time since October 18.
