|Western Daily Press
EDEN Project architect Sir Nicholas Grimshaw has died at the age of 85.

The news was announced on Monday afternoon by the architect's firm, Grimshaw, which he founded in 1980.
Sir Nicholas was best known for designing the Eden Project, an ecological centre in Cornwall which has become a popular visitor attraction, in part because of its bubble-like structures. He was also behind the British Pavilion for the Seville Expo 1992 and the glass-and-steel International Terminal at Waterloo in London which won The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Building of the Year Award in 1994.
In the West he designed the famous RAC Centre at Bradley Stoke, the Thermae Bath Spa and his firm is designing the YTL Arena at Filton Airfield.
