Man shot after ‘threats to slit throats of his ex-wife and children’

A MAN was shot by police at a train station in Paris after allegedly threatening to slit the throats of his ex-wife and children, according to local reports.

Police partially evacuated Montparnasse train station in the centre of the French capital. Paris prosecutors said the suspect - who was armed with a knife - was known to police for domestic violence. The man was about to be arrested as he got off a TGV train. He then reportedly brandished his knife at officers and, when one officer opened fire
