Couple helped teenage killer flee city, court told

A JURY has heard how a couple helped a double murderer escape as police hunted for him.

Bristol Crown Court was told Kodi Wescott, who was 17 at the time, was taken out of South Bristol on the day after he stabbed both Max Dixon and Mason Rist, and went to stay at a friend's house on his second night on the run.

After a trial a year ago, Wescott, from Vowell Close in Hartcliffe, and the other teen - who was 15 at the time, and is now 17 - were both found guilty of the murders of Max Dixon and Mason Rist back in January 2024, along with two other teenagers and the driver of the car that took them to and from Knowle West, Anthony Snook.

Now, the jury at a second trial has been told five people have also been charged with assisting an offender, in relation to the aftermath of the double stabbing in Knowle West on the last Saturday of January 2024.
