Clarke: We need to put the ball in the net now

Clarke reports that Promise Omochere and Alfie Kilgour are nearing a return to the Bristol Rovers squad ahead of a busy run of games in December.Neither player has featured since the 4-0 defeat against Crawley, having been key to the better performances earlier this season. In particular, Kilgour played an important role in the eight-match unbeaten run in August and September.

Speaking about the fitness of the pair, Clarke said: “You always want your players fit, midfielders, centre forwards, I want as many options as I can have. Alfie is coming back soon, Promise shouldn’t be too far away as well. We've missed some key players through the course of the first four months.

“There’s not been anything really consistent with that. So we get them back for the busy Christmas period. It’s going to be a huge boost to us, and, you know, Josh (McEachran) coming back as well is good.”
