Owner left dog in a hot car

A DOG owner has been given “words of advice” by police after leaving their pet alone in a hot car in Truro.

A small dog was spotted inside the vehicle outside the Tesco superstore in Garras Wharf at around 2pm on Wednesday, June 18.

The shopper who noticed it on her way into the store said the animal was still there when she came out.

“There were a lot of people trying to help,” she said. “Some chaps helped push the car into a bit of shade.
