'Wales won't get it all': FM

AFTER a meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer that she described as “constructive” First Minister Eluned Morgan has warned Wales will not be getting “everything” it wants in next month's spending review.

Her comments come after seemingly taking a more adversarial stand towards the Labour government in Westminster in recent weeks. Saying she was setting out a new “red Welsh way”, Eluned Morgan had suggested she was “losing patience” with the Labour-led UK government.

Cracks between the two Labour governments were laid bare during the First Minister's speech on May 6.

While she fell short of criticising the UK Government over its controversial winter fuel cuts, she asked Westminster to “rethink its policy.”
