Barry-Murphy now in the frame as Bluebirds consider their shortlist
May 25, 2025
|Wales on Sunday
City first-team coach Brian Barry-Murphy has emerged as a contender for the Cardiff City job.
WalesOnline reported on Friday that the interview process for the Bluebirds post has now come to an end.
Candidates have been grilled during the week and a recommendation has been given to Cardiff's owner Vincent Tan, who will have the final say.
It is thought that the board will put around three names forward to Tan, who will make his decision over the coming days.
Names such as bookmakers' favourite Ian Evatt, Des Buckingham, Ruben Selles and Nathan Jones have been mentioned in connection with the position, and Barry-Murphy has now come into the conversation.
