Members of the Masizakhe Disability Forum have completed the City Health Department’s Live Well Challenge Programme, an initiative aimed at promoting healthy living and empowering people living with disabilities to make informed choices about their health and well-being.
The programme is the first of its kind developed by City Health specifically for people with disabilities. The achievement was celebrated during a certificate-awarding ceremony at Site B Community Hall on Wednesday, June 10, where 30 forum members were recognised for completing the programme.
Eleanor Sopili from City Health said that the programme was designed to encourage healthier lifestyles among people with disabilities and improve their quality of life. She said they partnered with local organisations, including Matrix, to empower and upskill individuals living with disabilities.
