Young adults switching off fridges in bid to save cash

ALMOST a quarter of young people turned off their fridges in a bid to cope with rising energy bills in December.

And the number of 16 to 34-year-olds resorting to storing food in dangerously warm temperatures more than doubled in a year, from 11% in 2023 to 24% at the end of 2024.
