Wealthy pay UK tax on all earnings as non-dom status ends today

THE super-rich will start paying a fairer share from today as Labour shuts down a loophole letting them avoid millions in UK tax.

Rachel Reeves has scrapped the so-called non-dom status, meaning UK residents must pay tax in this country on their overseas earnings, even if their primary home is abroad.

The Treasury believes closing the loophole will raise £33.8billion in tax revenue over five years.
