Blitz as peace talks ramp up at European summit

A KREMLIN blitz left more than a million homes without power in Ukraine as peace efforts continue at a summit tomorrow with Volodymyr Zelensky in Germany.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer is also expected to be in Berlin with the Ukrainian president as European leaders seek to steer negotiations.

Despite hopes of peace, war rages on - with at least two people killed in a drone attack in Russia, local authorities said yesterday.

In Ukraine, Russia launched drone and missile strikes overnight into yesterday on five regions, targeting energy and port infrastructure.
